UGC Indira Gandhi Scholarship 2021 Apply for Single Girl Child

Indira Gandhi Scholarship (IGS) for single girl child, University Grants Commission (UGC) has published its scholarship scheme. Scheme is mostly implemented for single girl child and to help the talented and skilled child. Candidates can apply for UGC Scholarship by filling form and online application. The main aim of Post Graduate Indira Gandhi Scholarship for single girl child is to provide education to that child who are lacking behind due to money. Scholarship is especially for such girl who is the only girl child in the family.

Eligibility Objective of Indira Gandhi Scholarship
  • Scheme is to support post graduate education for single girl child
  • Any single girl child who is an only child or twin daughter in family
  • Scheme is applicable to a single girl child who are doing regular education
  • Masters degree course in any university or a post graduate college with affiliated university
  • Scholarship is available to Post Graduate student only
  • Post Graduate Course in distance education does not come under this scheme
  • The age of the single girl child should not exceed age of 30 years, at the time of admission in PG courses.
Amount of Scholarship
  • For the full duration of a PG course Rs. 3100 per month.
  • Hostel fee, Medical fee etc. Are not under the Scheme.
How to apply for Indira Gandhi Scholarship for Single Girl Child
  • Visit the official website that is www.ugc.ac.in
  • After that click to scholarship tracking portal (through MHRD) link
  • After clicking a link select UGC Scheme link
  • Now apply for the scheme, selecting Post Graduate Indira Gandhi Scholarship scheme for single girl child
  • Before filling the detail read the notification term and condition
  • Upload the required documents only
  • After uploading your document press submit button
  • Make a print out of the form for future usage.
Documents needed for scholarship
  • 1st Year Master’s degree course admission proof in a recognized Indian University section 2(f) and 12(B) of UGC Act should be in a scan form.
  • A certificate from the College or University to first year post graduate course with recent academic receipt.
  • Affidavit of Rs.50 stamp paper from the student and parent has to submit, and every required document which should be attested by SDM, First Class Magistrate, and Gazetted Officer.
